The Embassy of Indonesia with Darmawanita Bogota, has participated on the International Fashion, where staff member of the Embassy modeled down a catwalk wearing the traditional dresses to promote the Indonesian culture. In this fashion also participated the Embassy of India, United States of America an Mexico on past August 1, 2009.

On July 20, 2009, The Minister of Mining and Energy Rersources of Indonesia, H.E. Dr. Purnomo Yusgiantoro and his delegation has visited Bogota D.C., who met with the Minister of Energy and Mining, H.E. Dr. Hernan Martinez to discuss about a possible investment on the energy and mining sector that will benefit for both countries. Furthermore the Minister of Indonesia had a meeting with the President of Ecopetrol, Dr. Javier Genaro to dicusse if their any possiblities to have a cooperation between Pertamina and Ecopetrol, which Ecopetrol responded positively by visiting to Jakarta on August 3, 2009.

In commemorating the 20th year of the Embassy of Indonesia in Colombia, the embassy has carried out on June 20 a friendly golf tournament at La Cima Club with the officials of different diplomatic mission accredited in Colombia jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |

From June 5 to 30, the Embassy jointly with others 23 embassies accredited in Colombia has participated on the Bogota Spectacular event an event organized by the Mayor of Bogota, where the Embassy has exposed the traditional handicraft, photos and a short show of the traditional dances. |

On May 31st, the Embassy has participated on the annual diplomatic spouses event at the Hotel La Fontana. Exhibiting the traditional cousin of Indonesia, where Colombian has tasted the exquisite food of Indonesia and delighting the traditional dances.

From May 18 to 19, 2009, The Embassy of Indonesia has participated on the First International Day of Sur Colombiana University (USCO) program in Neiva-Huila. Where the Embassy of Indonesia, department of Huila jointly with the University, exchange the commercial, political, and culture aspect.
In the inauguration of the event the Rector of the USCO, Ing. Herrnando Ramirez Plazas named to Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Michael Menufandu as a distinguished visitor of the University. By part of the Governor of Huila, Dr. Luis Jorge Sanchez Garcia welcomed to Ambassador to Neiva. The Municipality Culture Secretary, Dr. Ramiro Falla gave to the Ambassador the key of the city, as an exchange the Ambassador gave three beautiful relic of Indonesia as a present.
During the event such as Indonesia and Sur Colombiana University has presented their respective culture and gastronomical exhibition. Also the university kindly showed to the embassy the richness of their commercial product of South Colombia Region such as Coffee, Rice and Petroleum with the representation of Rice Federation, National Coffee Federation and Ecopetrol.
